Interested in competitive climbing? You're in the right place. Team MW is committed to creating skilled athletes who are defined by their dedication, determination, and unwavering kindness to others. MW is a supportive environment for all athletes to learn, grow, and conquer their goals. Climbers of all experiences are welcome on our team. Our highly experienced coaches are confident that they can train any athlete to become a strong competitor if they’re willing to learn.
Recruitment Events
During each recruitment day, prospective athletes will participate in a team practice in order to get a sense of what practicing with the competition team will be like with the MW coaches.
Parents will also meet with the coaches for an informational meeting where coaches will cover scheduling, pricing, and answer any questions from 8:30-9pm.
Entry to each Recruitment Event will be $10 and will include rental shoes if needed. Additional day pass purchase is NOT required to attend. All spectators and climbers will need an active gym waiver .

Competitive Climbing is broken into 2 seasons: Bouldering and Ropes.
Bouldering: October - February
Ropes: March - June
Nationals: July
Once a schedule is published by USA Climbing for competitions, we will notify all parents which competitions the MW coaching staff will be attending. MW coaches will attend at least 2 qualifying events per season, as well as regionals, divisionals, and nationals.
Athletes are not required to participate in more than one discipline. As MW does not currently contain a rope facility, rope season will require once per week travel to the UNL Outdoor Adventure Center for practice.

Athletes are broken into different categories based on gender and birth year:
Female U13 (born in 2014 or later)
Female U15 (born in 2012 or 2013)
Female U17 (born in 2010 or 2011)
Female U19 (born in 2008 or 2009)
Female U20 (born in 2007)
Male U13 (born in 2014 or later)
Male U15 (born in 2012 or 2013)
Male U17 (born in 2010 or 2011)
Male U19 (born in 2008 or 2009)
Male U20 (born in 2007)
